High performance woofer with ultra-light
composite loudspeaker baskets
 
This two-piece basket generation of STATUS-, EPIC-,
and CONCEPT-Line combines the heat dissipation benefits of metal baskets with the positive features of low resonant plastic baskets. In a highly sophisticated process, the modified polyamide composite used in the speaker baskets is reinforced with extremely short glass fibers. Additional heat sinks and metal magnet covers provide excellent ventilation support to cool down voice-coils for 20% more power handling compared to conventional designed systems.
